Karli Jean (Danielson ) Evans, of Brainerd, age 45, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2021 in the St. Cloud Hospital. A Celebration of her life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Mn. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband James Evans of Brainerd; children Jenna and Shaun Murphy; step children Morgan and Kenton Evans; parents Danny and Shirley (Kominek) Danielson of Motley; sister Dani Jo (Zach) Uphus and niece Cadee Campbell of St. Cloud; brother Ryan Danielson of Queen Creek, AZ; niece Lauren Danielson and nephew Ian Danielson of Chandler, AZ; and aunts and uncles Donna (Kominek )Schultz of Brainerd, Gary and Anne Kominek of Minnetonka, Bur and Mary Kay Asche of Scottsdale, AZ, Ronald Danielson of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Don and Kathy Molenaar of Raymond, Dale Kominek of Aitkin, and Debbie Danielson of St. Helens, OR; many cousins; and her God-Parents Brad and Del Van de Riet of Raymond.
Karli was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert and Celeste Danielson and Albert and Dorothy Kominek; uncles Lauren Kominek and Robert Schultz; and the father of her children Anthony Murphy.
Karli adored her children, loved decorating for the holidays, and spending time on special occasions with her family. She also loved planting vegetables and flowers, and camping. Little House on the Prairie was one of her favorite TV series, along with daytime talk and cooking shows. She enjoyed watching movies, listening to all genres of music. Her favorite stuffed animal and best buddy was Curious George.
Karli was a 1993 graduate of Brainerd High School. As a teenager she began her passion of cooking. Her first job was at the The Quarterdeck on Gull Lake. As she grew older she joined her uncle Dale Kominek at Lakes Area Catering out of the Nisswa American Legion. After that, she managed the deli at Super One. For a couple summers she cleaned cabins for Sullivans Resort, then went on to Culver’s and lastly she worked at Dairy Queen.
Losing a child is a very difficult experience, but we are so fortunate to have family and friends to support us and help us through this. Thank you to Pastor Russ for this wonderful ceremony of life, and to the health care workers for their compassionate care. Thank you to the staff at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel for their expertise in planning and for the use of their facility. Lastly, to our family and friends who have reached out to us today we cannot thank you enough.
