June Hagglund

June Hagglund, age 94, of Pine River, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River.

June Carrie Kristensen was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on June 29, 1919, to Peder R. and Jeanette Clausen Kristensen. She was united in marriage to Paul E. Lundeen on December 3, 1938, in Cokato, Minnesota. Paul passed away on April 22, 1972. She was married to Lloyd Hagglund on February 25, 1978. Lloyd passed away December 11, 1989.

June was always an active member in her church and in community work. She had been a member of the First Lutheran Church in Pine River since moving to Pine River in 2000. She leaves lasting friendships from many communities.

Surviving are her children: Janet McCalla (Cotton), Michael Lundeen (Diane), Joanie Swanson (Bradley); granddaughters: Jodi Bollman (David), Nell Thill (Jay), Briana Swanson, Lindsey Bessingpas (Brian); grandsons: Jeff McCalla (Colleen), Ben Lundeen (Sarah), Javen Swanson (Oby); great grandchildren: Andrew Bollman (Sarah), Jacob Bollman (Emmy), Jake McCalla (Amalia), Nena McCalla, Emma, Mollie and Madeline Thill, Maya, Keomi and Michka Zysman Lundeen, Annika, Micah and Luke Bessingpas; great-great grandchildren: Thatcher Bollman, Bria Bollman; nephews: Gene Ellingsen, Jerry Kristensen; special family: Sonny Nelson (Nony) and Mary Nelson (Donald Graves) families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother, Ardell; sister, Adele; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Ellingsen and Virginia Kristensen.

Memorial service will be 3 PM on Sunday, November 24, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Dassel, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
