June Fairley, age 84, of Pequot Lakes passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
June Doris Burnard was born June 2, 1924 at Longville to Ernest and Minnie (Halliday) Burnard. She grew up and attended school at Longville. She married Art Larson. They lived in Lake Edward Township. Art passed away in 1956. In 1965, June was married to Elmer Fairley in Pequot Lakes where they made their home. Elmer died in 1994.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, karaoke and all kinds of music and flower gardening.
June is survived by her sons, Harold "Butch" (Roselyn) Larson of Nisswa, Gerald "Fatty" Larson and Raymond Larson of Pequot Lakes; daughter, Marie Fairley of Maple Grove; four step-daughters, three sisters, five half brothers and sisters, eighteen grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Art and Elmer; two sisters, a half brother and sister and by four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 24 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Brainerd. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kline Funeral Home of Pequot Lakes and one hour prior to services at the church.
