June Deblon

Surrounded by her loving family, June Deblon, 85, of Brainerd, passed away to become united again with her husband William on Saturday, June 18, 2011.

June lived her life dedicated to her family and to her career as a registered nurse in Austin, Minnesota. June treasured the time she shared with her children and grandchildren. They not only were her family, but her friends. June was an avid Twins fan and also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings.

June began her life in Watertown, South Dakota, on April 10, 1926, the daughter of Louden and Winifred (Basford) Somers. She was raised on a farm, graduated from Watertown High School and Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota, where she obtained her degree in nursing.

June will always be remembered by her children, Mary (Terry) McCollough, of East Gull Lake, William (Diane) Deblon, of Pillager, and Theresa (Michael) Petersen, of Oak Creek, WI; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and her half-brother, Jim (Karyl) Somers, of Watertown, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her daughter, Franny; her son, Tony; brother, Bill; and her parents.
