Julia Jeanette "Julie" Lamphear, 81, of Baxter, MN, formerly of Minot, ND, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Excelsior Place in Baxter, MN, of natural causes.
Julie was born July 3, 1934, the daughter of Vivian and Clifford Breeling in Burlington, IA. She moved with her mother to Greybull, WY when she was three. On August 11, 1952, she married Alfred Bounting and their union produced eleven children. Throughout her years of raising children, she lived in Livingston, MT; Worland, WY; Minot, ND; and Stanley; ND. The last four years she resided in Baxter, MN.
Julie loved her children, especially babies; she was for many years a participating member of the Senior Corps of Foster Grandparents and cared for many young children during that time. She was especially fond of her 24 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She loved to sew, embroider, and solve word search puzzles. In the last few years she made dolls and stuffed bears for needy children. Julie loved everyone she met and especially the residents and staff at Excelsior Place in Baxter, MN.
Julie's smile could light up her face and she loved unconditionally, always. She is survived by nine of her children, Jesse (Dot) Bounting, Julie Kay (Bob) Eliason, David (Holly) Bounting, Terry (Connie) Bounting, Arnold (Nancy) Bounting, Bill (Katrina) Bounting, Tim (Kelly) Bounting, Crystal (Tayne) Heller, and Libbie (Tom) Stokke; her sister, Kitty Gipson; and her brother, Junior Maxwell.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian; father, Clifford; twin sons, Robert and Jimmy; sister, Jewel McCracken; brothers, Lymon and Richard Maxwell; first husband, Alfred Bounting; and special friend, Duane Dickey.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 29, 2016 at Excelsior Place in Baxter, MN.
