Judy Peterson

Judy A. Peterson, age 64, of Brainerd, died Tuesday, February 19, 2007 at her home. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, February 22, from 5-8 pm, at Brenny Funeral Chapel and Reception Center in Baxter. Private interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Judith Ann Gunderson was born November 28, 1943 in Slayton, to William and Esther (Storm) Gunderson. She grew up and graduated from high school in Slayton. She met her future husband, Norris Peterson, while he was serving on an Air Force base in Chandler. They were married in Slayton on June 30, 1962. They made their home in Brainerd, where they raised their five children. After her children were old enough to go to school Judy began providing family daycare in her home, a job she poured her heart into for more than thirty years. She loved old-time music, flowers, and movies. Judy was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by Norris, her husband of 45 years; her children, Jody Peterson, St. Cloud, Nancy Peterson, St. Cloud, Tonya Peterson, Minneapolis, Jim (Janis) Peterson, Brainerd, and Chad (Candice) Peterson, McKinney, TX; her grandchildren, Ryan, Logan, and Aidan Peterson; and her brother, Robert (Sylvia) Gunderson, Rensselaer, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents and by an infant daughter.
