Judith Ann (Younggren) Resch of Staples passed away peacefully at the Loving Care home that was built for her & husband Gene ( A Daughter's Love Assisted Living). Judy was blessed to have two of her daughter’s & granddaughter by her side, on Friday Jan. 26, 2024. Family would like to honor the Abundant love & care provided by the Caregiver’s & nurses at A Daughter’s Love Assisted Living, The Team from Knute Nelson Hospice and the Resident’s and families that treated Judy with so much Love and attention!
Celebration of Life Open house will be Thursday Feb. 8th, 2024 at Frosty’s (use 5th St. Entrance) ℅ Batcher Block Opera House from 4-6 with prayer and remembrances 6 to 6:30 ish, please stay and enjoy live music of Frosty’s Spirits & Social Club Celebrating the music of her days! ***As “Extra” as Mom was, we will also be providing “Love” cash to play blackjack while listening to the live music and enjoying time and stories of our favorite Avon lady Judy!
Judith was born in Bertha, MN on Jan.,26, 1949, to Carl & Mabel Younggren (Foster). She grew up on the family farm, and moved to the Duluth area shortly after graduating from Long Prairie High School and became a caregiver. She was married to Jon Lamkin & blessed with 2 daughters. Judy later married Eugene Resch while working as Executive Director of the Hi-Rise in Staples. Judy later retired from there after 17 years of serving the elderly and those with housing needs and went on to run the “shop” for Gene (Resch Tile and Carpet.) This is also where she was able to spread her joy and Love for Avon with the community.
During their years together, Eugene and Judy enjoyed traveling and dancing. Her family, friends and caregivers will miss her dearly.
Judith will always be remembered by her family: Carla (Doug) Platzer of Staples, Christine (Todd) Tollefson of Florida; Melissa Shriver of Willow River , 1 Biological grandchild Alexis Kuchinski & many step grandchildren; and a brother, Arlan “Yogi” Younggren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Loving husband Gene and doting doggy Roady.
Any memorials received will be split between the loving caregivers at A Daughter’s Love Assisted Living~Hospice~Rehab & Respite Suites.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
