Judith “Judy” Ann Krinke, 78, of Crosslake, died at her home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Services for Judy will be held Wednesday, May 31, at 11 AM, at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Visitation will be during the hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. A luncheon will follow.
Judy was born on August 2, 1938 in St. Paul, MN to Otto and Bernice (Tonn) Schmidt. She was raised in St. Paul and graduated from High School in 1956. Judy married Albert “Al” Krinke on May 4, 1957. They made their home in St. Paul. Twenty-seven years ago, they moved to Crosslake. Judy worked for The State of Minnesota as a clerk/typist in St. Paul and then worked for the post office as an assistant mail clerk in Crosslake, MN. Judy enjoyed gardening, cooking, online shopping, and playing cards. She also liked going to the casino. Judy was a loving mother/grandmother, giving best friend, and always thought of others needs first.
Judy is survived by her husband, Al; children, Gail (Joe) Stemig of Oakdale, MN, Doug (Julee) Krinke of Hampton, MN, Kim Brown of Cottage Grove, MN, and Vicki Krinke of Inver Grove Heights, MN; grandchildren, Katie (Dan) Schoeneberger, Joe Stemig, Travis (Katie) Krinke, Audrey Krinke, Jeffrey (Cassy) Brown, Nicholas (Ali) Brown, and Ashlee (Dearius) Brown; four great-grandchildren, Austin and Adeline Schoeneberger, Chad Krinke, and Vincent Brown; and her puppy, Chuie. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Audrey Lynn; and parents, Otto and Bernice Schmidt. Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society for Multiple Myeloma Research. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.
