Joyce Wynn

Joyce Ann Wynn, age 64, of Pequot Lakes, MN, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones on December 1, 2021. She was born on November 18, 1957, in Brainerd, MN, to Lloyd and Marie Wynn. She was raised in Pequot at the family farm with her 8 brothers and sisters. She graduated from Pine River High School in 1976.

Joyce loved spending time with her 2 daughters, 8 grandkids, 3 great grandkids, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed playing cards, sitting around the campfire, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, hiking, swimming, boating, floating down rivers, fishing, hunting, rock picking, gardening, painting, puzzles, walks and looking at the stars. These are just a few of the things Joyce loved doing with her family. Her favorite place to visit was Duluth to agate pick and looking at the waterfalls. Joyce retired as a para and class grandma from Pine River Backus School where she loved helping and being around all the kids. Joyce loved attending church every Sunday. She put God first in her life and walked her path with the Lord every day and lived through Him.

Joyce is survived by her children: Tawnya Sexton (Troy “Boone” Turner), Amanda Armstrong (Jeremy); grandchildren: Julia Sexton (Wyatt Orth), Joselin Sexton, Jeremiah Reagan, Levi Seibert Rice, Matthew Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, Madilyn Turner, Samuel Turner; great grandchildren: Gracelyn Orth, Layla Orth, Oaklie Orth; brothers and sisters: Donald Wynn, Douglas Wynn (Shirley), Danny “Tucker” Wynn, Darald Wynn, Theresa Birge (Larry), Bud Wynn (Angela), Angie Engholm (Robert), Gail Lyon (John); 23 nieces and nephews and 29 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 18, at Casino Assemblies of God, 10387 49th Ave. SW, Pillager. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service. Cards to the family may be sent to 6019 Co. Rd. 1 SW, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472.
