Joyce A. (Weihrauch) Minor, 77, of Lakeshore, died Sunday, June 8 at St. Cloud Hospital. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 13, 2014 at Lutheran Church of the Cross (5064 County Road 13) in Nisswa. Family and friends are invited to gather from 5-8 PM Thursday evening with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Interment will take place at Lakeshore Memorial Gardens in Lakeshore.
Joyce was born on April 23, 1937 in St. Cloud, MN to Clarence and Alvina (Miller) Spaeth. Joyce grew up in Waite Park, MN and attended St. Cloud Tech High School. She married Donald Weihrauch in 1954. Together they had two sons. Donald and Joyce enjoyed showing and raising horses. Donald died in 1981. She met and married Duane and lived in Lakeshore, MN until her death. Joyce enjoyed gardening, sewing, trips to the casino, hunting, and fishing. Joyce and Duane traveled to Alaska and Canada. They enjoyed dancing and trap shooting. She was active in the Honor Guard with the American Legion Post #627. Most of all, Joyce cherished her large family and the time that she spent with them. Her grandchildren will remember her as the "candy grandma." A gentle soul who liked everyone and was easy to be around will always be in her family's memories.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Duane; son, Tom (Donna) Weihrauch; daughter-in-law, Deb Weihrauch; grandchildren, Becky (Adam) Kempenich, Michael (Nikki) Weihrauch, Mark (girlfriend-Brooke) Weihrauch, Katie (Brandon) Gallipo, Theresa (Adam) Tschumperlin, Benjamin (Allison) Weihrauch, Daniel (fiancé, Jeanne) Weihrauch, David (fiancé, Diane) Weihrauch, and Joseph (girlfriend-Kayla) Weihrauch; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Allison, Jack, Ruby, Dylan, Lucy, Maddox, and one to be born this fall; brother, William (Dana) Spaeth; sister, Kathy (Jim) Plombon, step-children, Garry (Tammy) Minor and Robert Minor; step-grandchildren, Robin, Devin, Hunter, and Derek. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Weihrauch; and son, Jeff Weihrauch in Sept. 2013.
