Joyce Jackson

Joyce Jackson, age 55 of Minneapolis, passed away at her home on Friday December 23rd. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday December 29th at 10:00 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Motley with Rev. Edward Koehler officiating. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 28th at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples from 5-7 PM. Burial will be at the Poplar Cemetery in Poplar Township following the church service. Joyce was born on August 14th, 1950 to Herman and Elizabeth (Baumgartner) Scheid in Staples, MN. She grew up on a farm near Leader. She attended county school at Leader and graduated on Honor student for Motley High School in 1968. Joyce moved to Minneapolis in 1969. She married Joe Jackson in 1970. Their daughter Billi Jo was born June 16, 1971. Joyce enjoyed visiting her mother and spending time on the family farm. She also enjoyed going out and spending time with her family and many friends. Joyce is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Scheid and seven sisters; Helma (Barney) McCoy, Yvonne (Gordon) Sampson, Vivian Youngberg, Elizabeth (John) Johannes, Joan (Ray) Dailey, Linda Johnson, and Marlys (Jeff) Braith, 25 nieces and nephews, and 30 grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Billi Jo, her father Herman and one brother Kenneth.
