Josephine Dailey, age 78, of the Poplar area (Leader), died Wednesday afternoon at the Staples Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 11:30 in St. Michaels Catholic Church in Motley with Father Peter Kirchner officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Cemetery north of Leader. Relatives will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 to 8 at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples, with the Rosary at 7:30 followed by parish prayers. Josephine Barbara Dailey was born on September 19th, 1925 in Leaf River Township of Wadena County to Joe and Mary (June) Siss. She grew up in the Blue Grass and Wadena area. On July 6th, 1945 she married Laurence Earl Dailey in Blue Grass. Together they farmed and raised their family in Poplar Township of Cass County. She enjoyed reading, playing cards/dice with her family, and kept an extensive garden. She loved the company of her children, grand and great grandchildren. Throughout the years she has enjoyed the visits of many friends, neighbors, and relatives. Josephine is survived by her children; Robert, Raymond, Linda, Carol, Sandy, Marsha, Richard. Thomas, Laurence Jr., Patricia, and Jack, grandchildren; Scott, Rick, Mark, Melissa, Jody, Tina, Sara, Shawn, Josie, Karina, Kristopher, Robert, Chad, Krystal, Dominick, Richard Jr., Brenda, Mike, Candy, Amy, Lauren, Brandon, and Vincent, and 21 great-Grandchildren. Services have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
