Joseph Zigmund

Joseph Edward Zigmund, age 92, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at Whitefish at the Lakes. He was born on February 14, 1932, in Pine River, MN, to Harris and Olea Zigmund. He graduated from Pine River High School, enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and served from 1951-1955. When he returned home, he met and married, Shirley Griffith, on March 15, 1957. Joe joined his Dad and brother in owning/operating Pine River Oil Company. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with friends. He was a volunteer on the Pine River Fire Department and member of the Pine River Legion Post 613.

He's preceded in death by his parents and brother, Marv.

He's survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley; daughters, Jolene (Rick) Kulla, Julie (Clayt) Rollins; son, David; three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
