Joseph John Schubert passed away on July 4, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Little Falls, Minnesota. A visitation will take place one hour prior to services. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Joe was born on November 16th, 1930, to Josephine John Schubert Sr. and Rose Waniger Schubert in Little Falls. He received a degree in Business Administration at college. Joe graduated from the U.S Naval Officers Academy at Newport, Rhode Island. He received his Commission and served as an officer in the U.S Navy 7th Fleet aboard the destroyer USS Collette. His time was spent between the Pacific and Korea. After the Navy he worked for St.Paul Insurance Company and attained the position of Vice President. After retirement, Joe traveled a great deal, most notably on an around-the-world cruise on a German Freighter. The cruise was aborted by the advent of the Gulf War in the Middle East. This resulted in a five-month cruise around Asia and South Pacific. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time at his cabin on Leech Lake, Minnesota and Florida.

Joe is survived by his nephew John Flemming of San Diego, CA. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rose Schubert; and sisters Alice Schubert and Rose Flemming
