Joseph Reyna

Joseph Reyna, age 46, of Staples passed away early Thursday morning at his home in Staples. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Friends may call for one hour prior to the Service on Tuesday. Joseph Gilbert Reyna Surfer Joewas born on February 6, 1962, in St. Joseph, CA, the son of Gilbert Joseph and Vivian (DeMaria) Reyna. His early years were spent in California where he attended elementary school. During his high school years the family lived in Detroit, MI. After his schooling Joe moved back to California during the late 1980s where he met and married Tammy Quient. While in California he worked on several construction jobs. In 1990 they moved to Minnesota, and in 1993 to Michigan. He returned to Minnesota in 1998 and settled in Staples in 1999. Among the things he enjoyed were cooking, art work, and was an avid Red Wings Hockey fan. Joe is mourned in passing by his mother, Vivian of Mount Clemens, MI; children, Antonio stationed on the US Ronald Reagan out of San Diego, CA, Forrest Joseph, Dillon Alvin, and Summer Lynn all of Duluth; the mother of his children, Tammy; and a sister, Lisa of Shelby Township, MI.
