Joseph Loney

Joseph O. Loney, 72, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be at Lake Gorman Cemetery in LeCenter, MN.

Joseph was born on June 23, 1943 in St. Peter, MN to Guy and Emma (Binder) Loney. He graduated from LeCenter High School before entering the United States Navy. After completing his military service on the USS Midway, Joe attended Mankato State and Southwest State Universities, acquiring an Engineering degree in Electronics. He was united in marriage to LeAnn Miller on June 8, 1968 in LeCenter, MN. He moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area working for Zercom. He and LeAnn started, owned, and operated their own business, LCL Electronics. Joe was a member of the Baxter Lions, Legion, and the VFW. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He liked traveling, RVing, being on his pontoon, and fishing.

Joe is survived by his wife, LeAnn; children, Allan (Sandy) Loney of Brainerd, MN, Steven (Willow) Loney of Grand Rapids, MN, and Annette (Derrick) Harkins of Baxter, MN; sisters, Mary Lou Olson and Barb McCully; grandchildren, Shayna, Colter, Joseph, Sawyer, Sara, Vanessa, Victoria, Alex, and Codie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Emma; sister, Marlene; and brother, Donald. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
