Joseph Dahl

Joseph Dahl, age 92, of Pine River, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Center, Pine River. He was born October 12, 1918, in Bremerton, Washington, to Ludwig and Elizabeth Dahl. He graduated in from Central High School in Minneapolis in 1936, and served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. Joe was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Swanburg, Pine River Lions Club and the Pine River American Legion Post 613. He served on the Pine River Chamber of Commerce, City Council and Sewer Board.

Joe is survived by his children: Thomas Dahl, Timothy Dahl, and Suzanne Otten; siblings: Roy Baker, Bob Baker, Lois Valley, Gerry Triplett, and Frances Schmidt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marion, and son, Alan.

Services will be 1 PM on Thursday, March 10, at Faith Lutheran Church, Swanburg, with Pastor Marlys Korman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
