Joseph Bielak

Joseph Bielak, 83, of Brainerd, died at his home Thursday, December 24, 2009. In accordance to Josephs wishes no services will be held at this time.
Joseph was born September 28, 1926 in Duluth, MN, the son of John and Mary (Karoowicz) Bielak. Joseph was raised in Brainerd. He served in the US Navy during WWII and in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an iron worker in Chicago and upon retirement returned to his beloved Brainerd.

Joseph enjoyed fishing as well as raising and caring for tropical fish. He was a bird lover. Joseph will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind, patient, and generous person.

Joseph will be missed by his daughter, Cindy (Tony) Gorski; his son, Joseph Bielak; his stepson, Charles Ransdell; and his granddaughters, Valerie Gorski and Samantha Plummer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilynn; his parents; and infant grandson, Joseph.
