Joseph Achermann

Joseph Achermann, 48, of Leader, passed away on August15th at Lakewood Health Systems Hospital after suffering a stroke. Funeral services were held on August 18th 2007 at St. Michaels Catholic church in Motley with Fr. Peter Kirchner Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Popular Cemetery. Arrangements were with Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Joe was born on December 2, 1958 in Farmington, New Mexico to Delaine and Peter Achermann. He along with his older brothers John and Mike and sisters Denise and Vanessa moved with his parents as a young boy to Leader Minnesota where he welcomed several new sibling including Michelle, Franz, Desirée and Peter, Renée and Jé�rg. Joe traveled to Switzerland the homeland of his father two times, the first to work and meet extended family and the second time for travel and adventure. He married Carol Aslagson and became the father of three children. He resided with his family in Hillman, MN for several years. He took pride in providing for his family as a construction laborer and operator. Joe moved to Leader to build his homestead where he spent his last years. Joe is survived by his children, Jacques, Tasha, and Johannes, his parents, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Peter, sister Denise and nephew Dylan.
