Josef Yonkovich

Josef M. Yonkovich, 57, of Outing, MN died Friday, October 31, 2014 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, MN. Funeral services for Josef will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Outing, MN with Pastor Mike Gustafson officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN, and also one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Josef was born March 16, 1957 in New Ulm, MN to the late John and Dorothy (Larson) Yonkovich. He graduated from Winthrop High School. Josef farmed for a few years before working in the medical device industry for 25 years. He recently worked for Boston Scientific in Maple Grove for 21 years. Josef was united in marriage to Susan Olson on May 23, 1997 in Brainerd, MN. He enjoyed fishing, 4 wheeling, boating, snowmobiling and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Josef is survived by his wife, Susan; one daughter, Sydonia Yonkovich of Outing, MN; three step children, James Olson of Montevideo, MN, Ingrid (Aaron) Brock of Bloomington, MN, Alexandra (fiancé Chance Jordan) Olson of Big Lake, MN; two brothers, Jack Yonkovich of Brookings, SD, Gene (Janice) Yonkovich of Cape Creek, AZ; three grandchildren, Aila Olson, Zoe Olson and Elliot Brock. He is also survived by the family of Doris (Tom Birkey) Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister in law, Ordell Yonkovich.
