Joni O'Donnell

Joni Beth O’Donnell, 50, Pequot Lakes, died of cancer early morning on Friday July 10th, 2020 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd, MN.   Joni was born on August 18, 1969 and grew up in and around Columbia Heights, MN.  Joni was an amazing soccer mom and friend to many people.  She will be greatly missed by her family: Bill Regina, Son – Logan, Daughter – Brynn, Brother – Scott (Lisa) O’Donnell, and all of her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her Father - Robert O’Donnell and Mother - Bonnie (Bremer) Ghere.

Joni has always been very active in her community.  She served on the PTA at her children’s school, coached sports activities, and went out of her way to support everyone she knew.  Joni graduated with a business degree from Bemidji State University.  She worked in Human Resources and Office Management most of her life.  Joni loved flowers, gardening, and cooking in her free time.

Services will be at the Crosslake Lutheran Outdoor Church on Sunday – July 19th at 3:00pm.  The service will require those attending to view / listen to the service from inside of their vehicle.  A “DRIVE BY” visitation for the family will follow.  Cards can be accepted at the site before leaving.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a memorial fund for the family of Joni O’Donnell.

Burial will be scheduled for another date and time in the future.
