Jon Green

Jon Green, born on June 17, 1939, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on October 19, 2024. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Jon is survived by his two sons, Brad Green (Paula) and Todd Green (Mandy), along with four grandchildren; Jake Green (Brianna), Jaydee Archer (Sam), Trey Green, and Mitch Green; and three great-grandchildren; Greyson, Evelyn, and Dawson.

Jon spent his young life in Iowa, growing up in Goodell, and then moving to Forest City with his beloved wife Judy, where they raised their family and worked for Winnebago Industries. Jon made lasting impressions as a leader and member of the community. He was described as a true gentleman who had a kind heart and treated everyone with respect. He enjoyed his retirement years residing in Nisswa MN and Naples FL where he could enjoy his love for fishing and being near water. He enjoyed socializing with many dear friends and spending time with his family. Jon’s kindness will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Green (Grandgenett), whose memory remained dear to him throughout his life; and his brother Jerry Green.

A visitation will be from 1pm -2pm on November 4th at Ewing Funeral Home in Belmond Iowa with a short prayer service at 1:45pm. Burial will follow.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
