Johnnie F. Mudick, age 97, of Motley, passed away at the Lakewood Care Center, on September 3. Funeral Services are planned for Saturday, September 7th, at 3:00 PM, at the Motley Free Methodist Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Motley Public Cemetery.
Johnnie was born on January 8th, 1916 in South St. Paul, to John and Kate (Slovik) Mudick. He served his country during World War 2 and married Gladys "Dudy" Christenson on October 2, 1940. During his lifetime he held many jobs, including; river logger, truck driver, welder, and owning a sale barn. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising cattle, and hauling scrap iron.
Johnnie is survived by his son, Donald Mudick Sr. and grandson, Donald Mudick Jr., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; his parents; brother, Harry Mudick; and sisters, Pauline Mudick, Lizzie Wille, Josie Smith, Helen Perfetti, Hazel Harrison, Clara Benson, Evelyn Smith, and Margaret Snyder.
