John Jones

John Jones, of Brainerd, died at his home Saturday, November 19, 2016 with his family by his side. Service for John will be held at the Kingdom Hall in Brainerd at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 3, 2016.

John was born June 29, 1925, in Story City, IA and moved to Brainerd in 1974. He was involved in construction and concrete with his sons and also worked in plumbing with his brother-in-law. John loved the outdoors and loved to work – especially making furniture. He found great joy in helping others grow both spiritually and in practical ways.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannette; children, Donna (George) Oberton, of Grand Rapids, Mike (Alice), of Brainerd, and Robert (Cindy), of Brainerd; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Pauline (Paul) Nervig and Lola Erickson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bill and Jack. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
