John Leo "Jack" Havrilak
June 30th, 1939 — October 15th, 2022
John Leo "Jack" Havrilak, age 83, of Randall, MN, passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side on October 15th, 2022. Jack was born on June 30th, 1939, to John C. and Marian Havrilak.
Jack enlisted in the Navy as a young man. Following that, he was an entrepreneur- a real "jack of all trades".
In 1963, he married Shirley (Newcomb) and he spent the next 59 years loving her. They went on to have three children, Jackie, Jill, and Joy. Jack had two sons from a previous marriage, Mark, and Marty. Jack loved all his children deeply.
Jack was quick witted, a friend to all, and a family man; he loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially at the cabin.
Jack was loved by all of his friends and family. He gave nicknames to those closest to him. He was known for his one-liners, sense of humor, and charisma.
Jack is survived by his wife Shirley (Newcomb) Havrilak, his daughter Jill (Harold) Schuldt, his sons Mark (Tawanna) Havrilak and Marty Havrilak, his grandchildren Jaclyn "Bugg" (Mitch "Shooter") Litfin, Josh "Bad Boy" (Lynsy) Schuldt, John "Cowboy John" Schuldt, Jobie "Woodtick" (Josh) McNeal, Jonathon "Porker" (Natalie) Lucas, Joston "Chubbs" (Noelle) Lucas, Jacadi "Peanut" Lucas (Tanner), Jase "Buddy" Lucas, Jaxson "Bambi" Lucas, Jackie Nicole Havrilak, Jennifer "Squeaker" Havrilak, and his great granddaughters Jordyn and Jetta Schuldt. Jack was loved by many other family members and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents John and Marian Havrilak, his sister Jup (Jack) Kittridge, his brother Bob Havrilak, his son Jackie Havrilak, his daughter Joy (Havrilak) Lucas, his son-in-law Rob Lucas, and his granddaughter Jayce Havrilak.
A service with military honors and burial will be held on Friday, October 21st at 1:00 pm at the Randall City Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the Randall VFW.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Randall, MN.
