John Goodrich

John Gary Goodrich, 70, of Staples, MN, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in his home watching his favorite western movies. John was born February 17, 1949 to Lloyd and Ollie Goodrich in Staples, MN. He graduated from Staples High School in 1967.

John is survived by his sons, Timothy (Donna) Goodrich, Troy (Kimberly) Goodrich, and Tony Goodrich; grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Samantha, and Madelyn Goodrich; sisters, Deloris (Howard), Diane (Richard), and Mary Ellen; brother, Bill; nephew, Barry (Lacy) Flategraff; and many more loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

John and his family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1979 to further his career. John was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys creating many wonderful memories. He worked at Ballard Medical in Salt Lake City for 25 years before his retirement in 2008. After his retirement he returned to his home state of Minnesota so he could be closer to nature. He enjoyed watching all the wildlife outside his front window and feeding the deer during the winter right off his front porch.
