John Gabriel

John JackLeRoy Gabriel, 59, of Brainerd, died at his home Sunday, August 12, 2007. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 18, 2007 from 1:30 to 4 PM at the Fry N Pan (2920 Highway 10 East  Moorhead, MN). In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donors choice.
Jack was born July 29, 1948 in Faulkton, SD, the son of George M. and Violet M. (Ramsey) Gabriel. At an early age, Jack and his family moved to the Moorhead area. He graduated from high school and worked in the Fargo/Moorhead area for a number of years. On December 20, 1980, Jack was united in marriage to Patricia Jacobs in Bemidji. The couple moved to California for a short time before moving back to Minnesota. They resided in the St. Paul area for many years where Jack owned and operated a liquor store. In 2000, the couple moved to the Brainerd area. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Jack will be missed by his wife, Patricia; his daughter, Melissa (Ronald) Mattson, of Lake Park, MN; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brothers, Venal (Connie) Kraemer, of Moorhead, MN and Patrick (Susan) Gabriel, of Fargo, ND; his sisters, Georgia (William) Holm, of Moorhead, MN and Rebecca Sandoval, of Pittsburgh, CA; and his sister-in-law, Joan Gabriel, of Fountain, FL.
