John Martin Bosch, age 62, resident of Brainerd, MN passed away suddenly of a heart attack, Sunday, April 19, 2009 at St. Josephs Medical Center. Funeral services will be Friday, April 24, 2009 at 11 am at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Garden. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 pm at Brenny Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Friday. A luncheon will be at the Eagles Club following the service.
John was born in Pillager, MN to Anna Thompson (Leiss) and Martin Bosch. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Diane Bosch (Wheeler); two daughters, Leah Jordan and Angie Erlandson; three grandchildren, Jacob, Jeremy and Hailey; close friends Larry Kraipowich and Roland Tougas; mother-in-law, Bernice Wheeler; sisters Pat (Dick) Lane and Darlene (John) Haney; brother David (Linda) Bosch; brother-in-law Cy (Mary)Wheeler and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; father-in-law, Cyril Wheeler; two sisters, Lorene Meyer and Josie Matten; brother Dan Bosch; and brother-in-law, David Wheeler.
John owned and operated Johns Tavern with Diane for 32 years. He was a hard worker and enjoyed joking with his customers which were very dear friends to him. John loved his family very much and was close to them. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren. John enjoyed fishing and working on his land. He will be deeply missed.
