John Auer

John Auer passed away on September 4, 2012 at St Joseph's Hospital in St Paul, MN at the age of 74. He lost his battle to cancer. He was born January 12, 1938. John enjoyed the simple things in life like camping, fishing, hunting & spending time with his family & friends. He loved the outdoors and never passed up a warm bonfire. He was a carpenter most of his life following his time in the Army. All that knew John knew him as being a kind, helpful, patient and loving man. He will be sadly missed by many.

Survivors include: daughters, Brenda (Keith) Anderson, Rachel (Lawrence) Auer, Jennifer Sieman, and Amanda (Matt) Auer; son, Brad Auer; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Matros; wife Mary; sister, Dorothy; brother, Joe; and great-granddaughter, Christina.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake. Family and friends are welcome to visit one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake.
