John Anderson

John Leo Anderson, 76, of Cushing, died at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church in Randall. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to Mass and also Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall. Interment will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery.

John was born November 12, 1940, in Brainerd, the son of Albin and Mary (Lorber) Anderson. He graduated from Pillager High School. He married Carol Teiken on October 19, 1963 and the couple made their home on Lake Alexander near Cushing. John worked for Hengel Construction before branching out on his own as a general contractor. He served for many years on the Pillager School Board, including several terms as president, and was a member of the Lincoln Lakes Business Association. He and Carol took their love for snowmobiling and started Twin Trails Snowmobile Club. John also liked woodworking, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Julie (Jeff Beiermann) Anderson, of Omaha, NE, David Anderson, of Cushing, Daniel (Kasi) Anderson, of West Linn, OR, and Janet (John) Eastman, of Eagle River, AK; sister Kathy Casey, of Belgrade; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol.
