Jodie L. Hoemberg, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, age 52, of Browerville, passed away at the Lakewood Care Center, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 7, at 9:30 AM, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at the Brenny Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5-7, and one hour prior to the service.
Jodie was born on April 27, 1960, in Minneapolis, to Joseph and Bernice (Riley) Gage. She spent her early years in Sleepy Eye, MN, before moving to the Staples area and graduating from Staples High School in 1979. She was married to Kenneth Hoemberg in Staples, on May 28, 1983. She spent her working years in health care, devoting much time to Harmony House in Motley. She also worked at Helling's Grocery Store. Her family and friends will remember her as the ultimate caregiver.
Jodie was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice (Don) Haugen; father, Joseph Gage; and sister, Sharon Bluebaugh. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Nichole (Justin) Larson; grandchildren, Skye and Chloe Larson; siblings, DeWayne (Rima) Bluebaugh, Judie (Lyle) Barthold, Cheryl (Larry) Jaques, Barbara (Rob) Duff, Mary Jo (Mike) Goff, Joe (Fawn) Gage; uncle Ronnie (Carol) Gage; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
