Joanne Evenson

Joanne "Sam" Evenson, age 63, of Pequot Lakes, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 2, 2014. She was born to Darrel and Norma Stangel on December 18, 1950, in Crosby, MN. Joanne married Kenny Evenson on August 17, 1968, in Pequot Lakes. She drove school bus for Pequot Lakes Schools for 18 years. Sam enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Sam is survived by her son, Greg; brothers: Richard Stangel, Eugene Stangel; sister, Carol Helmers; grandchildren: Marcus (Amanda), Bridgette (Bryan); and great grandchildren: Easton, Cooper and Jeremiah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenny; brothers: Darrel "Kidge", Gary; and sister, Faye Burke.

Services will be 1 PM on Friday, November 7, at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Our Savior's Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements with Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes.
