Joanne Bajula

Joanne Kay Bajula, 76, of Cushing, passed away unexpectedly at her home on October 7, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior.

Joanne was born in Brainerd to August and Jeannette (Marquis) Mass. She graduated from Brainerd High School. She moved to Montana to work on cattle ranch, as well as working as a CNA in a nursing home and hospital. Joanne then continued her career in the medical field and worked at Good Samaritan Society – Bethany for 25 years. She was very compassionate and had a big heart, she always wanted everyone to feel welcome to her home, especially for Sunday dinner. Family was important to Joanne; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her cats, bunnies, gardening, and putting jigsaw puzzles together.

Joanne is survived by her children, Jeanette (Lee) Bundy, Tammy Criss, Patric Criss, Roxanne Criss, Pamela (Joshua) Shesta; sisters Nancy Szczdroski and Julie Nielson; brother, William Mass; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Joanne is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Nadine, Jackie, and Shirley; and two grandchildren.
