JoAnn Wilson

JoAnn Wilson, 76, of Brainerd died May 29, 2014 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center. Services will be held at 4 PM, Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.

JoAnn was born April 17, 1938 in Browns Valley, MN, the daughter of Paul and Gertrude (DaMarus) Wilson. JoAnn was a gypsy at heart; she was always planning her next trip. She loved to bake and cook and her neighbors appreciated her kind and generous heart as they enjoyed many treats from her kitchen. She also liked to garden. When JoAnn became a grandma, she was so proud. She enjoyed sharing with everyone the many stories and photos of Jessica and Miranda.

JoAnn will be missed by her children, Lisa Weise, of Livermore, CA and Mark Reed, of Brainerd; grandchildren, Jessica and Miranda Weise, of Livermore, CA; and siblings, Diane Pearl, Jim Wilson, Shirley Welch, Lester Wilson, Paulette Zernov, and Vicki McGinty. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard and John.
