Joan Weston

Joan S. Weston, 83, of Pequot Lakes, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, April 12 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Joan was born October 19, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Reed) Sincock. She married John Weston in 1957. Joan enjoyed being active. A graduate of the Philadelphia School of Art, she was an avid painter. She was a member of a book and bridge club, Nisswa Garden Club, Lake Hubert's Women's Club, and Nisswa Women of Today. She also belonged to DAR - Daughters of the American Revolution. Joan's family was important to her. She cherished times she could spend with her children and grandchildren. Joan loved animals as well and liked to spend time with her dogs.

Joan will be missed by her husband, John; daughter, Joy Peters, of Bowie, MD; son, Jay (Kathy) Weston, of Richfield; and grandchildren, Travis and Kymberly Peters, Annie and Katie Weston. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marian.
