Jhonna Loftis

Jhonna Nichole Wasnie Loftis 33, passed away Wednesday August 15th at her home in Minneapolis, MN.

Jhonna was born on September 21st, 1984, graduated from Brainerd High School and then moved to Minneapolis with the love of her life, Luke Loftis. They were married in 2005 and enjoyed many happy years together following the Timberwolves, going to concerts and just “hanging out”. Jhonna was currently in a position with AG Hair as a Brand Development Specialist, a job she really enjoyed. An extreme sadness fills our hearts as we remember someone with the spirit of a wild animal and the heart of an Angel. She was the person who filled everyone’s heart with joy and happiness. Jhonna lived her life to the fullest and had a smile that was contagious. She touched so many lives in so many ways. We will all miss the “no time for BS” talks and her “tell it like it is attitude”. She fought her heart disease like a true warrior. Never giving up.

Jhonna is survived by her husband Luke Lofts, parents Donny & Dawn Hines, sister Kaitlyn Erickson, Godson Kohen Erickson, In-laws, Kurt & Robin Loftis and sister-in-law, Kaycee Loftis. She is also survived by grandparents Ginny Wasnie and Glen Milender, aunts and uncles, Tim and Dee Dee Schulke, Derek and JoEllen Johnson, Dane & Jaime Milender, Jamie & Pam Templeton, Christi Milender, Sheila & Gene Haverkamp and Angie and Bruce Kruchten, and numerous cousins.She was preceded in death by her father Jonathan Wasnie, uncle Mike Wasnie, aunt Ranae Hart and grandparents, Ken Wasnie, Linda Milender & Donald & Illa Hines.

A “celebration of life” will be held on Monday, August 20th at the Woods Event Center north of Brainerd from 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
