Jewell Boroski

Jewell L. Boroski, 68, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 16th, 2009 at the Lakewood Hospital, Staples, MN. Services will be on Saturday, March 21st at 1 P.M., at Assembly of God Church in Staples, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be later this spring.

Jewell Lillian Boroski was born on March 19th, 1940 in Carlton City, MN, daughter of Waino and Lillian (Westerback) Siltanen. She worked as a shirt presser and seamstress. In 2002, Jewell and her first husband, Robert Perry retired and moved to Staples. Robert passed away in 2004. She married Edward Boroski on April 15, 2005. Jewell enjoyed sewing, birds, shopping and going to rummage sales. She was a Foster Grandma for five years at the Staples Motley School.

Jewell will be missed my her husband, Ed; her many step children and step-grandchildren; brothers Melvin(Karen) Siltanen of Wrenshal, MN, Alvin (Shar) Siltanen of Kettle River, MN; sisters Hjardis(Richard) Perry of Staples, Jeanne (Lenny) Marsyla of Barnum, MN, and Joyce (Richard) Anderson of Superior, WI.; and many nieces and nephews. Jewell is preceded in death by first husband Robert, and her parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
