Jerry Larson

Jerry D. Larson, 54, of Browerville, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 in Hinckley, MN. Services for Jerry will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral chapel starting at 5:00 PM, Monday evening. Private Interment with Military Honors will take place at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.

Jerry was born February 17, 1958, in Deadwood, SD, the son of Kenneth and Elaine (Pederson) Larson. He graduated from high school and had his own plumbing contractor service. He was a member of the Army National Guard and held a rank of E-6. In 1994, he was married to Dawn Vanderbeek. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, wood working, photography and working on his lawn. Jerry never sat still - there was always something to be working on. He cherished spending time with his family.

Survived by his wife of 18 years Dawn of Browerville; children and their spouses, Trish (Kris) Townsend, of Annandale, Tina (Martin) Witucki, of Little Falls, Mickal (Jennifer) Nielson, of Brainerd, and Amber (Joshua) Scott, of Brooklyn Park; grandchildren, Ava, Mason, MaKenna, Rylee, Nathaniel, Lincoln & Jacob; step-grandson, Spencer; sister, Karen (Russell) Avelsgard, of Menahga; brother, Butch (Susie) Larson, of Menahga; and many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by his parents, Elaine and Kenneth Larson.
