Jerry Fornshell

November 21, 1954 — December 4, 2005

Jerry Lee Fornshell, 51, of Pillager died at his home Sunday evening surrounded by his family and friends. Funeral Services for Jerry will be 11 AM, Thursday, December 8 at Lakewood Evangelical Free Church in Baxter with Reverend Bob Osell officiating. There will be a visitation Wednesday night from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Interment will follow services at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.
Jerry was born November 21, 1954 in Brainerd, MN to Leonard and Leona (Hannahs) Fornshell. He graduated from Pillager High School, where he was active in sports and extra curricular activities. He owned and operated Fornshell Bus Service in Pillager as well as the Pillsbury Junction and Plaza. He was united in marriage to Korli Keller December 11, 2002 in Brainerd. Jerry was actively involved in his community. He enjoyed coaching and playing sports. He was a former member of the Pillager Fire Department and First Responders. Jerry was recently presented the Pillager Citizen of the Year Award.

Jerry will be missed by his wife, Korli; his son, Eric Fornshell, of Pillager and Erics mother, Deb (Dan) Nelson, of Bismark, ND; his stepson, Jayson Schultz, of Brainerd; his stepdaughter, Kalli (Rick) Lorentz, of Pillager; his brother, Duane (Pat) Fornshell, of Brainerd; his sisters, Sandy (Ben) Mudgett, of Pillager, Linda Nygren, of Pillager; his brother-in-law, Don Farber, of Pillager; two grandchildren, Alli Schultz and Libbie Lorentz; and his very best friend and nephew, Steve Bell, of Pillager. He was preceded in death by his son, Dustin; his parents; his sisters, Darlene Farber and Bonnie Bell, and his nephew, Troy Nygren.
