Jerry Bullford

Jerry R. Bullford, 65, Brainerd, died Friday, November 22nd at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.  The memorial service for Jerry will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 7th at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter, visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.

Jerry was born on March 7, 1954 at Braham, MN, son of Ralph and Marie (Wicklund) Bullford.  He grew up and was educated at Mora, graduating from Mora High School in 1972.  He then attended Anoka Ramsey Technical College, before beginning his career in the State Hospital System at Cambridge and transferring to the Brainerd State Hospital shortly after that, where he worked with behavior modification, until the closure of the hospital ten years ago.

Jerry was united in marriage with Peggy Caughey on July 5, 2011 at Brainerd.  Jerry enjoyed fishing, skiing (both Cross Country and Downhill), lawn work, and his dogs (Dachshunds). He was a very funny and giving man, who made people happy. He was very political and often argued with anyone on the right, including his wife!

He is survived by his wife: Peggy of Brainerd; her daughter-in-law: Tonya Caughey of Brainerd and his grandson: Renzen Caughey of Brainerd; grandchildren, Jackson of Brainerd, Aric Anderson of Minneapolis, Anna Anderson of Brainerd, Allyssa & Jennifer Caves of California;  his siblings: Ralph (Barb) Bullford of St. Louis Park, MN, Sharon Bullford of Edina, MN, Bob (Fern) Bullford of Dalbo, MN, Yvonne (Robert) Doebler of Kazakhstan, and Cindy (Bruce) Berghuis of Spicer, MN; many nephews and nieces.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Marie; a brother: Ken; and a step-son: Rick Caughey.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
