Jerry Akerson

Jerry Lee Akerson was born May 24, 1956, and died peacefully on October 14, 2020, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lois and was the proud father of Joe Akerson (Elizabeth), Robb Akerson (Sarah), Dan Akerson (Rachel),  Andy Akerson (Amanda)  and Lisa Rauchwarter (Andy) and grandfather of 9 grandchildren.

Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with family and friends. With his culinary background he loved hosting large get togethers and catering for all the kids' grad parties. Jerry loved his family and would relish any time together.  He had an unmatched love for his 9 grandchildren - they were his pride and joy. He and his kids had many fun get togethers at the homestead with backhoe rides, pool parties and coffee talk.

A visitation will be held at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes on Sunday, October 18 from 1-3 pm.
