Jerome Johnson

Jerome O. “Jerry” Johnson, of Pine River, entered eternity unexpectedly from complications after a cardiac procedure on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Jerry was born on December 5, 1939, to Nels and Bonna Belle Johnson of Milaca, MN. He married Gloria Sitz on May 25, 1963, in Park Rapids, MN.

Jerry loved many things. The first was the love of his life, Gloria. This love then fell to family, friends, life, faith in God, dancing, hunting, fishing, sports, teaching, coaching, playing cards and working at the hardware store. Jerry loved helping people and making you laugh with his quick wit.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughter, Michelle Johnson (Jessica Knutsen); son, Blaine Johnson; sisters, Joan Gustad and Bonnie Lueck (George); brother, Lee Johnson (Denice); grandchildren, Kristi Landry (James) and Zachary Johnson (Cheryl); great grandchildren: Kali, Cornelius and Ashlyn Landry, Rosalee, Mirabelle and Liliana Johnson; special friends, Bob and JoAnn Fladung; and extended family, Janet and Al Barbeln. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark Johnson.

Services will be 12 PM on Friday, April 29, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Lutheran Church, Pine River.
