Jerel Stenberg

Jerel "Jerry or Bubba" Wayne Stenberg passed away November 13, 2013 after a brave battle with cancer at his home in Motley, MN surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral services for "Bubba" will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, with visitation Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 4-7 PM with Prayers at 6:30 PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
Jerel was born to Juel and Arlene (McMillan) Stenberg on November 3, 1970 in Sedalia, Mo. In 1976 the family moved to New York Mills, MN. In 1987 he moved to Grygla, MN where he graduated in 1989. Eventually settling in Motley, MN, where Jerel helped run the family business until his death. On October 6, 2013 at the Mayo Clinic, Jerel married the woman he had been waiting his whole life for, Connie Bly.
Bubba loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his "sweetie" Connie, his nieces and nephew, and his family and friends. He enjoyed, and was well known for, his story telling and his positive outlook on life. The cancer he had may have gotten to his body, but never touched the amount of love and joy in his heart he had for his family and friends.
Bubba is survived by his wife, Connie and her children; Ben, Betsy, Brianna and Brandee Bly, parents, Juel and Arlene Stenberg of Motley, MN; sister, Missy (Wayne) Ament; nieces, Ashley (Dan) Shingledecker and their three children Caleb, Logan and Olivia of Hewitt, MN; Emily (Brenden) Honenbrink of Chaska, MN; Stephanie Ament of Moorhead, MN; nephew Seth Ament and niece Kristyn Ament of Bluffton, MN; and grandmother Julia Stenberg of Motley, MN. He was preceded in his death by his grandparents Joseph Stenberg and Herman and Monta McMilllan.
