Jerald Johnson

Jerald E. Johnson, age 74, formerly of Staples, passed away at the Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis on Monday, April 14. Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 3:00pm in Brenny Funeral Chapel, Staples with Rev. Wesley Johnson officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 2:00 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
Jerald E. Johnson was born on September 1, 1933 in Becker Township to Elmer and Mabel (Farber) Johnson. He was united in marriage to June Kingsley September 22, 1956 in Staples. He loved his family, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time up north at the 40 in the Staples/Motley area where he was born and raised. He was a longtime employee of Freeway Ford dealership where he retired from in 1995.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Deb; sons, Russ (Vanessa), Steve; grandchildren, Tim (Cindy), Tammy (Scott), Nickie (Miguel); great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Gilberto, Ruth Samuel; brother Elmer (Andrea); sisters, Delores (Freddie) Wohlert, Phyllis (Dennis) Neisess, Joyce (Maurice) Erickson, Jeanne (Gaylon) Job, many loving nieces and nephews; step grandchildren, Krissie, Justin, Colleen (Neil), eleven step great-grandchildren. He was predceded in death by his wife of 50 years, June; son-in-law Paul Fremstad, his parents, Elmer and Mabel Johnson, and sister Darlene Sadusky
