Jeffrey Ziegler

Jeffrey Ziegler, 48, of Staples, MN passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 in Jamestown, ND. Services for Jeff will be 11:00AM, Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Camp Ripley Base Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Visitation will be from 2-5PM, Sunday, June 19 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN and one hour prior to services at the Camp Ripley Chapel. Interment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00PM.

Jeff was born November 3, 1967 in Staples, MN to Richard and Ann (Freiberg) Ziegler. He graduated in 1986 from Staples High School and then enlisted in the US Army. He was very proud to be part of the 82nd Airborne Division. After his honorable discharge, Jeff attended Central Lakes College in the Heavy Equipment Operator course. He worked for William D. Scepaniak Construction Company for the last 23 years, and he loved his job. Jeff was united in marriage to Kristen Deering on May 2, 1991 in Sisseton, SD. Jeff and Kristi just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by taking a trip to Alaska on a cruise. They made their home in Staples. Jeff enjoyed fishing, darts, horseshoes, camping at the 5th Crow Wing Lake, driving, babies, and his puppy, Gus-Gus. Jeff loved visiting with family and friends.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Kristi; children, Brittany, Justin, Jenna (Andrew) Jobe; siblings, Marie (Ron) Weber, Donald (Michele) Ziegler, James (Tina) Ziegler, Steve Ziegler, Deb Ziegler, Greg (Kate) Ziegler, Shelly Wilds, Barb (Greg) Dvorak; father, Richard Ziegler; his puppy and best friend, Gus-Gus; many nieces , nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann in 1999. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
