Jeffery Reedy

Jeffery “Jeff” Reedy, age 57, of Brainerd passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Jeff’s funeral service will be at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter on Friday, February 24, at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, from 5-7 PM, and will continue Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:30. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery.

Jeffery Allen Reedy was born March 28, 1959 in Robbinsdale, to Daniel and June (Schiffman) Reedy. He grew up and attended school in Osseo. He served three years of active duty in the US Army, and an additional three years in the Army Reserve. On September 15, 1979, Jeff was united in marriage to Cheryll Erickson, in Brooklyn Park. The couple lived in Texas for a year, and then lived in Fridley, where Jeff worked managing a bar. Jeff moved with his family to Brainerd in 1998. He managed the Lakeside Resort on Lower South Long Lake. He also worked as a bartender in the lakes area. For the past six years, Jeff had been a waiter and cook at Bobbie’s Kitchen in Brainerd. He loved his family, and enjoyed playing pool and poker, particularly Texas Hold’em.

Jeff will be missed and remembered by Cheryll, his wife of 37 years; his children, Jennifer (Roger) Olson, of Lino Lakes, Jeremiah (Sara) Reedy, of Coon Rapids, and Jedidiah (Anna) Reedy, of Buffalo; seven grandchildren; and his siblings, Kathy (Cleston) Lange of Buffalo, Mike Reedy, of Menomonie, WI, Dana Lee Laurie, of Lester Prairie, Greg (Chris) Reedy, of Albertville, Gary (Terry) Reedy, of Chanhassen, Paulette Harff, of Maple Grove, and Steve Reedy, of Mound. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and June, and a sister, Pat Muenchow.

Visitation Thursday, February 23, 5-7, at Brenny Funeral Chapel, and one hour prior to services on Friday.
