Jeanne Rogers

Jeanne Lee Rogers, 63, of Crosslake, MN died on Monday, November 9, 2015 at University of Minnesota-Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Services for Jeanne will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00AM at Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake, MN. Visitation will be at 10:00AM at the church.

Jeanne was born on December 5, 1951 in Forest Lake, MN to James and Donna (Dammann) Boyd. Jeanne was raised in LeSueur, MN and graduated High School from there in 1969. She attended University of Minnesota-Duluth and received her teaching degree. Jeanne married Martin (Marty) D. Rogers in LeSueur, MN on August 3, 1974. Marty worked for Motorola in Human Resources. They lived in many places including Minnesota, Michigan, Maine, Arizona, Illinois, and Singapore. While in Minnesota, Jeanne taught at Anoka High School. Jeanne was a Director in Mary Kay Cosmetics. Following Marty's death, Jeanne moved to Crosslake, MN from Barrington, IL. She loved traveling, knitting, horses, golf, tennis, boating, fishing, the outdoors, cross country skiing, waterskiing, and fine wine.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Matthew (Michelle Seeley) Rogers of Arcata, CA, and Meghan (Jared) Smith of Brainerd, MN; grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, and Madelyn; father, James Boyd of Crosslake, MN; brother, James (Patti) Boyd of Inver Grove Heights, MN; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Avery Grimes. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Boyd; and her husband, Marty Rogers. Memorials are preferred to Richard M. Schulz Family American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
