Jeanne Davis

Jeannie L. Davis, 78, of Brainerd, died peacefully at her daughter's home in Brainerd on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.

Jeannie was born October 28, 1936, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Eugene and Irene (Brown) Finch. After high school, Jeannie continued her education and pursued a career in Real Estate. She enjoyed her job and worked primarily in the Brainerd Lakes and Longville Areas. She was proud to be the first female to sell one million dollars in a year. She was very independent and knew everything. Jeannie liked to dance, fish, and ride motorcycles. She will be remembered as a caring, loving woman who was devoted to her family - especially her children and grandchildren.

She will be missed by her children, Louisa, of St. Paul, Ernie (Jane) Davis, of Elk River, Esther Davis, of Washington, and Dolly (David) Maki, of Brainerd; step-children, Patty Newberg and Barb Wanquist; siblings, Eugene, Caroline, and Kirk; nice grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her best friend from the last 20 years, Al Cook. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Leyndel; and sister, Suzanne. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
