Jeanette Lehtola

Jeanette A. Lehtola (Heuer), 78, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, November 2, 2013, after an aggressive battle against bone cancer. Jeanette (Jan) was born in Howard Lake, MN to George and Elaine (Engleman) Heuer. Services for Jeanette will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN at 1:00 PM, with a visitation at 12:00 PM. Reception to follow at Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room in Baxter, MN.

She is survived by her husband, Reuben, her "honey", of 52 wonderful years; four children; David (Rebecca) Lehtola of Aitkin, MN, Michelle (Troy) Willi of Prescott, WI, Steven (Linda) Lehtola of Hastings, MN, Renee (James) Blocker of Merrifield, MN; grandchildren; Jenna, Alexander, Carly, Mitchell, Natasha, Samantha, Marko, and Megi; sister, Mardis (Jerry) Gilmer; sister-in-law, Joan (Darrell) Heuer; Kevin Bauer of Hasting, MN; and nieces and nephews. Her parents, George and Elaine; and her brother, Darrell, preceded Jeanette in death.

Jeanette was an RN from 1955-1991, which took her from teaching nursing at Abbott Northwestern to a career with the MN State Hospital. She loved camping across the country with her family and after retirement she continued RVing for many years with her honey. Jeanette enjoyed fishing, crosswords and needlework. She was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. Jeanette will be remembered and missed dearly.
