Jean Vinje

Jean A. Vinje, 81, of Brainerd, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2019.  A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter.  Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service and to stay for a luncheon to follow.

Jean was born January 28, 1938, in Grand Forks, ND.  She was the daughter of Joseph E. and Phoebe S. (Gross) Sargent.  After graduating high school, Jean devoted her life to caring for her family.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially in the Mille Lacs Lake icehouse she and her girlfriends shared.  She also liked to snowmobile and bowl.

Above all, Jean loved her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandkids and great-grandson.

She will be missed by her children, Vicki (Glenn) Brummer, Mike (Lisa) Vinje, and Tom (Melissa) Vinje; grandchildren, Jessica (Joshua) Partridge, Joseph Brummer, Kayla Vinje, Blake Vinje, Duncan Vinje, and Phoebe Vinje; great-grandson, Jax Partridge; and siblings, Jerald (Robbie) Sargent and Jeanette Rutledge.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Sargent; and brother-in-law, Glenn Rutledge.
